What’s the Melbourne Podcast Festival?
It’s 25+ podcasts recording a live episode of their show in front of an audience of listeners. All shows happen over one weekend starting Friday 30 July through to Sunday 1 August.
Podcasts participating are from all genres – comedy, science, society & culture, sport and more.
Shows are ticketed individually. We did this because tastes in podcasts can be specific as they are wide ranging.
So, it’s all live?
Yes. It’s a classic in-person event so you can experience the shows live rather than through a computer screen.
That goes for the podcasts too! They’ll all be on location, on the stage at the front of the theatre.
It’s up to the podcasts whether they post the episode after the show so get along to avoid missing out.
Tickets are on sale now and available to purchase via Ticketmaster here!
For ticketing inquiries please contact Ticketmaster.
How much are tickets?
Tickets range from $19.90 to $79.90
Most shows are $29.90
Will any of the shows be recorded?
They will. The Festival will record all shows but not publish them.
The recordings will be made available to the podcasts and they may choose to publish them on their feed.
Which shows are in the Festival?
Before and after the show?
We recommend heading to Roc’s Bar at Village Cinemas Jam Factory.
It’ll be like an informal Festival Hub where hosts and listeners can mingle.
Some shows will have merchandise or books for sale. That will be available immediately before and after each show.
